When I was younger, I believed in Santa like most of the children. I recall trying to keep awake waiting for the sound to Santa’s sleigh to land on our roof and of course it never happened. However, it would have made my day – or year – had I received letters from Santa. I remember the first time I saw my two sons jumping up and down for joy because Santa wrote to them. They were so excited and completely thrilled that it had come from the North Pole. I made sure to put the letters in the refrigerator so I handed it to the boys cold. The joy I saw in their eyes are indescribable. It was as if nothing else existed on earth except for that one magical letter. I bet it would have blown my 5 year old mind too had I received letters from santa. And it is for this reason I am continuing this tradition until my kids are old enough to understand that Saint Nick is only make believe.
